Events: News and Push Notifications

Purpose

Publish news, promotions, and announcements in the Eatery Club mobile app and the new web ordering experience (New Order), while simultaneously sending push notifications to targeted guests.

Events are not the same as Stories.

• Events: News and promotions with an image and text, available across all supported platforms (Website Ordering, New Order Web, iOS, and Android).
• Stories: Full-screen, Instagram/TikTok-style vertical content available only in the iOS and Android apps.

Each published Event appears in the news feed and triggers a mass push notification to eligible guests.

Note: Push notifications are sent in batches of 500 recipients. Delivery time depends on the total number of recipients.

Event Fields

Publish Time	Date & Time (Europe/Kyiv)	✅	Must be scheduled for a future date and time.
Translations	Repeater	✅	Title, subtitle, and description for each supported language.

City Targeting

The Available Cities field lets you target news and push notifications to specific locations.

Example: A promotion offering 20% off delivery in central Kyiv should target Kyiv only and will not be shown to guests in Odesa.

Translations

Provide translations for every supported language.

Field	Description
Language	Display language.
Title	Bold headline displayed in the push notification and news feed.
Subtitle	Highlighted supporting text.
Description	Main content. Supports emojis.

Important: If a translation is missing for a guest’s language, that guest will not receive the push notification or see the news article.

Guest Reactions

Guests can react to published news using emoji reactions.

The available emoji set is configured separately in the Reaction Emojis section.

Scenario: Publish a City-Targeted News Article

1. Go to Events and click Create Event.
2. Enter an Admin Name.
3. Upload an image sized 1000 × 620 px.
4. Select the target city (for example, Kyiv) in Available Cities.
5. Set the Publish Time to a future date and time (allow at least 5–10 minutes).
6. Optionally add an Action (phone number or URL).
7. Add translations for each supported language:
   • Language
   • Title
   • Subtitle
   • Description
8. Click Save.

Result: At the scheduled time, the news article becomes available only to guests in the selected city, and push notifications are sent to that audience in batches.
