Stories: Vertical Content for the Mobile App

Purpose

Stories are a full-screen, vertical content format in the Eatery Club mobile app, inspired by Instagram and TikTok. Guests can swipe between stories featuring images or videos and interact with a call-to-action (CTA) link.

Stories are different from Events (News).

The Stories label is used consistently for both restaurant administrators and guests in the mobile app.

Story Fields

Image / Video	Media	✅	1080 × 1920 px (9:16), up to 2 MB. Supports either an image or a video.
CTA Link	URL		Destination URL opened when the guest taps the call-to-action.
Active	Toggle		Enables or disables the story.
Translations	Repeater		Localized versions of the title and description.

Important: Stories support only the 1080 × 1920 px (9:16) format. Using any other aspect ratio may cause media to be cropped or stretched in full-screen mode.

Scenario: Publish a Video Story

1. Prepare a video in 1080 × 1920 px (9:16) format, up to 2 MB.
2. Go to Events → Stories and click Create.
3. Enter a Title, for example: New Summer Menu.
4. Upload the video to the Image / Video field.
5. Set the Start Date.
6. Set the End Date (for example, seven days later).
7. Add a CTA Link, such as the URL of your new menu.
8. Enable Active.
9. Add translations for the Title and Description in each supported language.
10. Click Save.

Result: During the scheduled period, all users of the Eatery Club iOS and Android apps will see the story in a full-screen, swipeable format. Tapping the CTA opens the linked page.

Scenario: Create a Story Series

To create a sequence of stories for the same campaign (for example, Teaser → Launch → Call to Action):

1. Create each story as a separate item.
2. Use the same publication period for all stories.

Result: Guests will see the stories as a swipeable story carousel.
