Automated Push Notifications

Learn how to create automated push notifications in Eatery Club for birthdays, inactive guests, loyalty rewards, and scheduled campaigns.

Purpose

Create automated push notifications that are sent to guests based on predefined events—no manual sending required.

Common Use Cases

  • Birthday greetings
  • Re-engaging inactive guests after a period without orders
  • Combining push notifications with bonus point rewards or deductions
  • Ongoing customer engagement campaigns

How It Works

The system checks the configured conditions every day and automatically sends push notifications at the scheduled time.

Notification Fields

FieldDescription
Admin NameInternal name visible only in the admin panel.
ImageRequired size: 1000 × 620 px. Using another size may cause the image to appear stretched or cropped.
ActiveEnables or disables the automation.
Trigger TypeBirthday (guest’s birth date) or Last Transaction (date of the guest’s most recent order).
Send Push NotificationEnable or disable the push notification. If disabled, only the bonus action is performed.
TimingSend Before or After the trigger date.
Days0 = on the exact date; positive values send before or after the event.
Send TimeExact time when the notification is sent.
Action TypeAward Bonus PointsDeduct Bonus Points, or No Action.
Bonus PointsNumber of bonus points to award or deduct.

Translations

Provide the Title and Message for every supported language.

Important: If translations are missing for a language, guests using that language will not receive the notification.

Scenario: Birthday Greeting with Bonus Points

  1. Go to Automated Notifications and click Create.
  2. Enter an Admin Name, for example: Birthday Greeting.
  3. Upload an image sized 1000 × 620 px.
  4. Enable Active.
  5. Set the Trigger Type to Birthday.
  6. Enable Send Push Notification.
  7. Set Days to 0 (on the birthday).
  8. Set the Send Time to 10:00.
  9. Choose Award Bonus Points as the action.
  10. Enter the number of bonus points (for example, 100).
  11. Add translated titles and messages for each supported language.
  12. Click Save.

Result: Every day at 10:00, the system checks for guests celebrating their birthday, automatically sends a push notification, and awards 100 bonus points.

Scenario: Re-engage Inactive Guests

  1. Create a new automated notification.
  2. Set the Trigger Type to Last Transaction.
  3. Choose After.
  4. Set Days to 30.
  5. Select Award Bonus Points (for example, 50).
  6. Add localized messages encouraging guests to return.
  7. Click Save.

Result: Guests who have not placed an order for 30 days automatically receive a re-engagement notification and bonus points.
